World Cup 2026 CONCACAF Teams: USA, Mexico & Canada Preview

The 2026 World Cup is co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico — CONCACAF nations on home soil. Combined with Haiti and Panama qualifying through CONCACAF, the region sends six teams. Home advantage could be transformative for all three co-hosts.

USA 🇺🇸 (Group D)

The United States are co-hosts and among the most talked-about stories of 2026. In Group D alongside Paraguay, Australia, and Türkiye, they are expected to advance — but tournament football is unforgiving. The USA have exceptional young talent and a fanbase that will create an electric atmosphere at every home game. A quarter-final run would represent a major success.

Mexico 🇲🇽 (Group A)

Mexico are perpetual World Cup participants and perennial round-of-16 bottlenecks — they have exited at the same stage in seven consecutive tournaments. In Group A with South Korea, Czechia, and South Africa, they have an excellent opportunity to advance convincingly and perhaps finally break their knockout curse in front of a home crowd.

Canada 🇨🇦 (Group B)

Canada made their first World Cup appearance in 36 years in Qatar 2022. In 2026, as co-hosts, they arrive with a squad of Premier League regulars and genuine continental quality. In Group B with Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Qatar, they are genuine contenders for second place.

Haiti 🇭🇹 (Group C)

Haiti face Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland in Group C. On paper, it is an extremely difficult group, but Haiti qualified for a reason and will compete for every point.

Panama 🇵🇦 (Group L)

Panama are in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Ghana. Their World Cup experience is limited, but they have competed at the highest level in CONCACAF and will not be overawed.
