FIFA Women's World Cup 2027
The next World Cup goes to Brazil: 32 teams, eight groups of four and 64 matches across eight cities. The final draw has not been made yet, so there are no groups to predict — here is the format, the venues and every nation that has already booked its place.
The format
Brazil 2027 keeps the 32-team format rather than following the men's expansion to 48. The 32 teams are drawn into eight groups of four (A–H), and every side plays the other three in its group — 48 group matches in all.
The top two of each group advance, which makes 16 qualifiers and a clean knockout bracket with no third-place qualifying route: Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, a third-place play-off and the final. That is 16 knockout matches, and 64 in total.
It is a simpler shape than the 2026 men's tournament, which needed a Round of 32 and a best-third-placed-teams table to get 48 teams down to a bracket. If you have played our World Cup 2026 predictor, the 2027 version will ask you for fewer scores and give you a more familiar bracket.

Qualifying is still running. Thirty places are decided by the confederations directly and the last two go to an inter-confederation play-off tournament.
